We did it! Our 10 day, 5 province, 3 time zone, 5,000km road trip concluded in beautiful British Columbia.
After a scenic drive in through BC's Rocky Mountains, followed by a quick stop in the Okanagan Valley (our new home!), we landed in Vancouver for a couple of weeks while we searched for housing. Although we were sad our road trip had come to an end, we were very excited to visit with family, get settled in our new home and take advantage of our remaining vacation time.
Our days in Vancouver were filled with trips to Ikea, hikes up to Quarry Rock and home cooked dinners (a welcome change from the one too many Tim Horton's meals we consumed during our trip). A couple of weeks later, we made the four hour drive back to our new place in BC's interior.
Now that all of our Ikea furniture has been painstakingly assembled and we're getting back into the swing of things, we can turn our attention to planning our 2015 road trips and adventures (suggestions welcome!).
What are your travel plans this year?
