The weekend after checking out the Lavender Festival in Prince Edward County, we decided we wanted more lavender and more wine. So we hit the road once again- this time en route for Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The Taste of Niagara Lavender Festival took place over the weekend of July 13-14, which seemed about a week or so too late as some of the purple blooms were starting to look a little dry. The $5 entry fee included access to the lavender fields, the distillery, and two complimentary tastings. The tastings were amazing- we tried a chocolate covered lavender shortbread, raspberry lemongrass ice cream, peach and lavender ice cream, and lavender infused lemonade.
In case you're getting tired of all the lavender photos, no need to worry- we only attended two festivals.
