During our trip to Ottawa, we crossed over (on foot) to Gatineau, Québec. The streets of Gatineau were quiet and devoid of shops- a stark contrast to the vibrant streets of Ottawa just across the river. After touring the Canadian Museum of Civilization, we braved the cold and walked back over to Ottawa. Our timing was perfect. The sun was just starting to set, shedding a beautiful warm glow on the imposing parliament buildings.
